At the side of the people of Lviv since 1993
In 1992 Dr. Aleksander Schwarz saw the hardship of the Jewish population in Western Ukraine and began to help. Over the years his personal initiative has grown into a reliable aid organisation.
To this day many Jewish people in Western Ukraine live below the subsistence level, above all elderly people and families with sick children. We make sure they have enough to eat, receive their medicine and are not left alone.
His mission lives on
Dr. Aleksander Schwarz died in November 2014. His idea lives on: Dr. Peter Summa-Lehmann and Dr. Mariusz Schwarz continue the work with a small team of volunteers, together with our partners at the B'nai B'rith lodge in Lviv.
Since Russia's attack on Ukraine in February 2022, our help has become more difficult. Medicine is harder to obtain, transport is more complex, and many people need more support than before. That makes every donation all the more important.
